BigCommerce gets a big Banner Swap
Our friends at Plant Cell Technology needed their homepage banner swapped lickity split. Was it tricky to complete this using the BigCommerce stencil theme? Not for us!

Our process
Here's what we did
Progress update
After compressing I uploaded it to the Image Manager and put the link into home.html in the theme editor.
First I went on the Footer Scripts page to edit the CSS and add a class for mobile only and desktop only elements.
After that, I compressed the mobile version of the image and uploaded it to the image manager. Finally, I went back to the theme editor and made a duplicate of the header link and image element with a different source, and gave them “mobile-only” and “desktop-only” classes.
Our Goals
- Swap the banner image for the Plant Cell Technology Homepage with the image provided by the client
- Use this URL link for the banner a href
- On mobile devices use the mobile friendly sized image attached to improve readability / visibility of the banner ad
